Is there a tutorial that uses the json-rpc methods to deploy smart contracts?

I looked through the tutorial forum but couldn’t find anything along these lines. The closest article I found was this one: https://blog.infura.io/ethereum-rpcs-methods/. But, it glosses over a number of things I think.
