Unable to receive sepolia ETH from faucet

I created a wallet in Metamask and pasted the wallet address in the Infura Sepolia faucet to receive the Sepolia ETH. However, I got this message instead.

Your current Ethereum address does not contain enough Ether on the Ethereum Mainnet. Please ensure you have at least 0.0001 ETH before proceeding. You can easily add funds to your address using [MetaMask].

I’m not planning to get Ether in the Ethereum Mainnet as I just want to test out some contracts. Is there a way to get around this?

Same here: testing (MetaMask Flask build on) Sepolia.

Does this message means one need to buy real ETH to get some Sepolia ETH!?!

I created an account in alchemy and used their sepolia faucet without the need of getting real ETH, hope this works for you.
